Roberta Speziale - Anffas Onlus
Anffas is a non-profit organisation with a democratic structure which operates on a voluntary basis. Its main purposes are solidarity and social advancement in the field of health, healthcare, social welfare, social services, sports, scientific research, education, charity, the protection of human and civil rights, primarily in favour of disadvantaged people with intellectual and / or relational disability and their families, to guarantee the inalienable right for a free, protected and independent life while respecting their dignity.
Anffas has more than 50 years of experience in education, training and awareness of people with intellectual disabilities, their families and professionals.
Anffas provides trainings for people with disabilities, professionals and family members through the "Centre for the Study and training Anffas Onlus" organizing training courses all over the country.
Anffas has a long experience in providing information and training that are accessible to people with intellectual disabilities. The association publishes many documents into easy-to-read version, there are easy to read boxes in the house organ magazine “La Rosa Blu” and trainings on easy to read format are still planned even beyond the end of the project Pathways 2, to carry out training in this field throughout Italy.
Anffas shows its strong commitment to give the right place in the society to people with disabilities also having various people with intellectual disabilities collaborating with its staff working as trainer or editor.
Roberta Speziale has a master’s degree in cognitive neuroscience and psychological rehabilitation. She is a psychologist. She is the Responsible for institutional relations, advocacy and communication for Anffas Onlus. She has a great experience in project management, communication, social policy, education, and training. Her skills are completed by the sound knowledge of person centered methodology and quality of life system, approaches related to intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has been engaged for years in the design and implementation of projects of Anffas at the national and international level. She is an expert in accessible information and trainings for people with intellectual disabilities. She has skills and experience in adult learning and training for families, professionals and people with intellectual disabilities. Roberta is in charge of trainings at the national level, especially on the subject of model of disability based on human rights and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, on the issue of education of persons with disabilities, on the theme of individualized planning and on of training and information accessible to people with intellectual disabilities.
