"United for inclusive education: Moving beyond traditional learning” ELLA–Inclusion Congress

The international ELLA–Inclusion Congress, organized by the IB-Behindertenhilfe, Germany and the Österreichische Jungarbeiterbewegung (ÖJAB), Austria, will take place on 12 November 2015 in Vienna, Austria with the theme "United for inclusive education: Moving beyond traditional learning”. 

The congress is organized in the context of the International Lifelong Learning Project ELLA (European Life Long Learning Academy) which is funded by the European Union. The ELLA project focuses on the inclusive adult education of people with disabilities and combines 19 partners from 12 countries, including the candidates to EU membership Serbia and Turkey as well as Israel as a third country.

The aim of the congress is to share and promote among participants the importance of the inclusive education and to highlight the areas that need particular attention to improve inclusive education and strengthen policy development. In addition, the congress will also focus on inclusive work environment, vocational training and active labour market participation of disabled people. The congress is intended to bring together project partners, people with disabilities, companies, political representations, social organizations, adult education centres, universities and teachers, who are interested in improving the educational situation of people with disabilities.
